*GAME OF THRONES EPISODE 2 BREAKDOWN AFTER THE CREDITS!*
(that’s why it’s so long)
Turns out D23 was just a warm up for the marathon session our stalwart hosts endure this week. But weep not, dear viewers, for San Diego Comic Con is a cause worthy of their prodigious talents.
Alright… enough of that. But we are breaking down as much of comic con as we can, including almost a dozen trailers, on top of comics, fan theories, and so much more. But that’s not all! We’re also discussing the suicidal tendencies of low functioning security droids, celebrating the departure of a cranky old sexist, and paying our respects to an Orlando hero. All that, plus Liz’s mom gets downright dirty!

This week it’s a recap of D23, Disney’s biennial victory lap around geek culture. And, since you people voted for it, we’re covering all of it. All of it. Seriously. There was a lot.
But fear not, there’s more! We’ve also got a debate on the new Doctor, exposition on Elon, a bit of Dammit for DC. All that, plus the Tick underwhelms! Thanks for listening, and SUBSCRIBE!!

SPIDER-MAN HOMECOMING SPOILERS AHEAD!
Guys. Seriously. We’ve got a Star Trek v Star Wars knife fight.
We could have spent the whole hour just on that, but alas, there is so much more to cover. We’ve got to talk about Al’s incredible losing streak, the incredible lack of Terry Crews, and the incredible meh that is Castlevania. So… overall… the episode is pretty... I don’t know. I can’t think of a word to use here.

Dan Finally Gets His Stargate Episode
Thursday Jul 06, 2017
Thursday Jul 06, 2017
We’re so excited!! Nixie and Grace from There’s No Place Like Terra join us to give Dan what he’s been begging for since his arrival- an episode dedicated to Stargate.
Of course, there’s a lot more to this episode than MacGyver and wormholes. We’ve also got Star Trek going back to its roots (and then stomping on them), Supernatural announcing they’re done (in two more seasons), and Sense8 gets a reprieve (for a single 2 hour movie). All that, plus black hole knife fights! Thanks for listening, and SUBSCRIBE!

…did you hear about our Patreon?
This week we welcome the owner and operator of the Indie Game Alliance, Mr. Matt Holden. His group helps small board games designers get their projects made, and it’s pretty impressive. Except for the whole Antarctica thing. But hey, no one’s perfect.
Of course, we can’t stop there! We’ve also got the latest on the Han Solo debacle, we check out the latest on the Supernatural spinoff, and we pay homage as Harry Potter celebrates 20 years. All that, plus Al calls out Nerdist!

…The Mummy wasn’t a great movie. But that doesn’t mean we can’t learn!! We’ve got an expert on Egyptian history here as we ask her just how realistic mummy attacks are. We were a little disappointed by the answer.
Also, there’s updates on Universal’s Mario World, we get a chance to freak out about the Black Panther trailer, and we pay our respects to the late great Adam West. Thanks for listening, and SUBSCRIBE!

We Should Be Better At This
Thursday Jun 08, 2017
Thursday Jun 08, 2017
…we get a bit rowdy this episode.
But it’s not our fault! Wonder Woman is dominating, cars are flying, hell, Nintendo is listening to its fans! How are we supposed to react?
But fear not, trusty cohorts, your FGS team is still as dedicated to professionalism as they ever are. Or aren’t. Really, it’s up to you. Thanks for listening, and SUBSCRIBE!

Hey.,.. uh… mind showing us some love on iTunes?
It’s been a crazy week on your favorite geek podcast, dear listeners. Logistics was against us at every turn, but we persevered! Nay, we conquered!
…basically, people got sick and the guests had a conflict, but we worked it out because there are a lot of awesome people who make this show happen.
And what a show it is! From the Air Guitar Qualifier, Rachel joins us to lure Al (and… Liz?) into the seedy dangerous world of air guitar. Al agrees to compete IF they can reach th- Oh. Looks like we already got there. Before the show dropped. Well… damn. Looks like Al has 60 seconds of air to shred.
But fear not, non-air guitar people! We’ve still got a show full of flagrant copyright infringement, whipping people for information, and even a little GamerGate whining… oh, how their rage brings us such warmth and light…

It’s draft day here at For Geek’s Sake, and we’re ready to go. But before we put together the ultimate team, we’re wondering about wearables, walking through Witchers, and wild about Whedon… we also live dangerously as we get our hopes up about Wonder Woman, and keep them buoyed with a Gizmoduck update… all that, and Al proves his nerd chops (No one asked).
